Two men detained over rape and murder of pupil

KLANG: Two men were detained in connection with the rape and murder of a 12-year-old schoolgirl in Bukit Tinggi.

Year Six pupil Nur Amyliana Shuhada Mohd Noor was found lifeless by passers-by near a car park on Wednesday night.

The suspects, aged 19 and 24, were picked up near the crime scene yesterday.

Investigations showed that, except for blood stains on her private parts, there were no other injuries.

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mat Yusop said Nur Amyliana left home to meet friends on Wednesday evening and never returned.

The suspects, both Malaysians, have been remanded for seven days. The girl's body has been sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, for a post-mortem.
