GEORGE TOWN: Housewife Lim Poh Kooi, 57, is regarded by her children as a “Powerpuff Mum”.
Teoh Chin Ying, 29, a bank officer, said her mother had always been patient and wonderful to her and her three siblings.
Chin Ying, her sister Chin Hong, 31, and Poh Kooi were among 100 people who participated in the “Mummy and Me” Photo Moment event at Queensbay Mall.
“My mother is a Powerpuff Mum' as she is strong in spirit,” quipped Chin Hong.
The event saw mothers and their children having their photographs taken together.
The mall donated RM2,000 to the Women's Centre for Change.
Among those who attended were associate graphic designer Tan Cheng Cheng, 26, her sister Cheng Siew, 23, and their mother Jenny Saw, 59.
Cheng Cheng said they were out for a nice lunch when they came across the event.
“We wanted to take a picture together to make this a memorable day,” she said.
